Directions to Jesus our Hope

Challenging terrain. The final leg of the route is on a dirt road. We recommend a vehicle with good clearance in summer and a 4-wheel-drive in winter.

From C-470 and Kipling

  1. Head South on S Kipling Pkwy.
  2. Turn right onto W Ute Ave.
  3. Continue onto S Owens St.
  4. Continue onto W Deer Creek Canyon Rd.

    From S Owens St, stay right to continue onto W Deer Creek Canyon Rd.
  5. Turn left onto Deer Creek Rd.
    Turn left onto Deer Creek Rd
    Turn left onto Deer Creek Rd.
  6. Continue approximately 0.7 miles (3 min) and notice the Hidden Entrance sign.

  7. Continue approximately 30 yards and note the Jesus Our Hope Hermitage / Regina Caeli sign.

  8. After the sign turn right onto the dirt road - Blue Jay Gulch Rd.

    GPS name. The GPS name our our dirt road is Blue Jay Gulch Road or 2991 (Littleton).

    Our dirt road entrance has a stone wall on the right.

  9. Stay on Blue Jay Gulch Rd. After approximately 0.4 miles (4-5 min), keep right at the fork and drive up the hill towards Jesus our Hope (follow the signs).

    Recommendation. Stick to the left side of the path when driving up.

  10. Follow the road. You will pass a cabin on your left (St. Clare House).

  11. Continue ¼ mile (1 min) to St. Francis Cabin on your right.

  12. Welcome! Park in the parking area. If you park too close to the cabin, you might get stuck.
